HACMP System Administration I: Implementation Course
Course Description
This course is designed for delegates who will be installing and configuring an HACMP cluster on AIX version 4 using HACMP version 4.3. This course contains a high quantity of practical work undertaken in small workgroups.
Delegates will learn how to:
Undertand the concepts of High Availbility
Design and plan a highly available cluster
Implement HACMP in all modes of operation
Perform basic cluster customisation and maintenance
Course pre-requisites:
Delegates should a solid understanding of IBM RS/6000 hardware, AIX operating system management, AIX TCP/IP communications, the Logical Volume Manager (LVM) concepts and configuration, disk subsystems and SNMP concepts. Delegates should also be able to perform AIX system problem diagnostics and be able to suggest possible corrective actions. The course is intended for delegates who already have extensive technical experience on AIX and should ideally be qualified as an IBM Certified Specialist: AIX Support.
