Course Description

This course is intended for Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 Administrators who wish to update their skills to Citrix MetaFrame XP. The course is intended for MetaFrame 1.8 CCAs who want to become proficient in the installation, administration and support of the Citrix MetaFrame XP family of products.

Course pre-requisites:

Delegates attending this course must be certified as a CCA for Citrix MetaFrame 1.8, have attended the PTR Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 Administration course or have equivalent knowledge.

Topics covered on the 2 day Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 to XP Update course

  • Install Citrix MetaFrame XP and Citrix ICA Clients in a variety of network environments
  • Identify the features and functions of the Citrix Management Console
  • Configure server farms
  • Individual server settings
  • Manage licenses
  • Understand the key features and functions of Load Manager and MetaFrame XP security
  • Install applications in the Citrix MetaFrame multi-user environment
  • Understand how NFuse delivers applications to ICA Clients
  • Identify new printer management features included with MetaFrame XP
  • Provide key trouble-shooting skills for Citrix MetaFrame servers
  • Understand the capabilities available with MetaFrame XPe
