This database administration course is intended for those who are responsible for managing, maintaining and supporting Oracle version 8.
At the end of the course delegates will be able to create and manage database users, implement a security system to control their activities, define a backup strategy and perform recovery in the event of a system failure and tune the database to optimize performance.
Course pre-requisites:
Knowledge of the target operating system is helpful. Delegates should also be competent in the skills covered by the PTR Oracle SQL*Plus Fundamentals course.
