Course Description
This course is intended for Application Developers, System Analysts, Database Administrators and Technical Support Personnel. This course offers delegates an extensive introduction to data server technology and covers the concepts of relational/object relational databases, as well as the powerful SQL programming language. Delegates are shown how to create and maintain database objects and to store, retrieve and manipulate data. Delegates learn to retrieve data by using advanced techniques such as ROLLUP, CUBE, set operators and hierarchical retrieval. Delegates also learn to write SQL and SQL*Plus script files using iSQL*Plus tool to generate report-like output.
Certification: For students studying towards OCP certification, this course provides the core knowledge for exam 1Z0-007 (Introduction to Oracle 9i: SQL).
Course pre-requisites:
Delegates must be familiar with data processing concepts and techniques.
