Course DescriptionThis is a 5-day course covering the principles of penetration testing, including hands-on practice with some of the tools available. Students will learn the differences between a hacker and a Penetration Tester before going on to study the types of procedures followed by the professional penetration tester. Common vulnerabilities of computer systems are discussed along with methods used by penetration testers to take advantage of them. This course is suitable for those IT professionals who will be required to test their own internal networks or the networks of an external client.
*** Delegates are encouraged to take the OPST ACCREDITED CERTIFICATION exam. The OPST Accreditation is the official security testing accredited certification based on the Open Source Security Testing Methodology Manual (OSSTMM). The OSSTMM provides a complete methodology on performing security testing from the outside to the inside. It is also beneficial in testing from the internal network to the DMZ and the DMZ to the internal network. |
