About PTR's Training Service
How big are class sizes?
The training centre comprises 6 classrooms of varying sizes accommodating between 2 and a maximum of 12 delegates. Delegate numbers are limited to ensure that everybody attending gets a hands-on experience and the individual attention required.
Will I have to share a PC?
NO! Unlike many training providers, we ensure that every delegate has their own workstation and PC, so there is absolutely no sharing allowing you to be involved hands-on for the duration of your course.
What's included in the price?
As well as the course delivery, you will receive course materials which you keep and take away with you. All refreshments are included, which encompasses coffee and biscuits at morning registration, mid-morning and mid-afternoon breaks. A restaurant lunch is also included and is taken between 1pm and 2pm at one of several local restaurants. Writing materials are also provided.
What time do courses start and finish?
Courses start at 9.30am, so delgates are requested to arrive by 9.15am for course registration. Courses typically finish at 5pm each day, but if more time is needed to complete a subject or the course itself, then the course will run-on past this time. Mid-morning break is around 11.15am and the afternoon break is at around 3.15pm.
Are their facilities for disabled people?
Yes. The classrooms are located on the first and second stories of the building which are accessible by a lift which will accommodate a wheelchair. The WC is spacious and fitted with supports. Most rooms have double opening doors that will allow for easy access to rooms also. It's advisable to discuss your circumstances before booking a course so that it can be determined that your individual needs can be catered for.
Do PTR offer closed and tailored courses?
Yes. Details of this are outlined on this page.
Are bulk discounts available?
If you need to attend multiple courses or perhaps have multiple delegates to place on a course or series of courses, then substantial savings can be made with one of our SAVE IT schemes, for which the majority of courses in our schedule qualify. View SAVE IT Scheme Details
How do I make a reservation?
If you have located the course on which you wish to reserve places on the website, simply follow the "Reserve a place" link that is displayed at the top and bottom of each individual course outline and beneath each course title within a schedule page. This will take you to a short form unique to that course where you can make a reservation. This is not a booking form, so no commitment will be made on submitting the form, but a representative will contact you to confirm the details and availability with you and arrange for a course booking form to be completed which also contains the terms and conditions. If you definitely wish to attend a course then you can go straight to the booking form and complete and either fax or email it back to us - again your booking details will be confirmed upon receipt.(Fax to: 0118 979 4035; Email to:training@ptr.co.uk). You can of course call us on 0118 979 4000 to enquire about availability, make a reseravtion and request a booking form.

Using the website
How do I find the right course?
On practically every webpage, located either on the left, right or bottom, you will see a list of key subject areas covered, so you can follow the links and browse the list of courses available within each subject. A very brief course overview will be displayed if you hover your cursor over the course titles, with the full course outline being viewable if you click the course title. Many of the course outlines have been converted into a more reader friendly PDF format for you to download and print etc...
If you have tried browsing but couldn't locate the course you are looking for, then you could try using the search facility at the top of most pages on the website. Simply, type in a search phrase or a few keywords and a list of outlines that match your search criteria will hopefully be returned. If browsing and searching still haven't led you to the course you are looking for then it doesn't mean we don't or can't offer it. Before assuming we don't please do give us a call or email us with your requirement, as we will be able to advise straight away as to whether a course does indeeed exist, can be tailored to meet your needs, or perhaps locate an alternative provider for you.
How do I request information?
If you would like further information on a specific course, each course has a unique enquiry form attached to it. If you are on the course outline page there is a link in the navigation bar at the top of the page, and a button at the foot of the page. If you are on a schedule page, then there is a "Request More Info" link under each course title. Simply complete the form and one of our representatives will get in touch with you. If your enquiry does not relate to a specific course then please email your question to us at: info@ptr.co.uk, or give us a call on 0118 979 4000.
