Practical Skills Training Beyond Certification

Windows network deployments have become increasingly more complex over the years with the introduction of, first Windows NT, then Windows 2000 Server and now Windows Server 2003.

Organisations are faced more and more with the problem of balancing the need for staff training with keeping staff available to support the IT deployment.

Many training courses today focus on a curriculum in line with passing an exam and leading to a vendor certification such as Microsoft's MCP and MCSE. This provides enormous benefit to the employee attending the course as they will have a certification to add to their C.V., but they will often be left with knowledge gaps preventing them from fully achieving the IT goals set by the employer. PTR concentrates on providing real world, practical training to small class sizes with every delegate having their own computer. We offer training that goes beyond certification. Of course for those that wish to take an exam to achieve vendor certification our courses will provide more than is required for that purpose.

So the choice is yours:
  • Practical Real World Training Aimed At Doing Your Job
  • Broad Curriculum Training Aimed At Passing An Exam

PTR's Unique Windows Server 2003 Courses

PTR have put together a family of courses aimed specifically at support teams:
  • Windows Server 2003 Support
  • Windows Server 2003 Server Administrator
  • Windows Server 2003 Domain Administrator

All three of these courses have been developed by PTR staff who have real-world, hands-on experience of deploying windows network solutions combined with extensive teaching experience and teaching qualifications. This has lead to a series of well-structured and carefully targeted courses, covering only topics that are key to your deployments and with the emphasis being on hands-on experience and practical understanding and relevance, rather than compulsory curriculum coverage to coach delegates through an exam.

The courses are modular, with modules being carefully selected to match the job description of the target audience. All three courses can be taught as is or as a customised course based around the modules that are of specific interest to your own Windows Server 2003 network.
