Course Description
This training class focuses on performing scripted installations of ESX servers, Service Console security, monitoring of ESX servers, VMware HA, Distributed Resource Scheduling, VMware Consolidated Backup and fault analysis.
The course will benefit systems administrators and/or systems integrators experienced with Virtual Infrastructure 3 who are responsible for scaling their organization’s deployment of VMware.

Course pre-requisites:
Successful completion of “Virtual Infrastructure 3: Install and Configure“ or equivalent experience.

- Configure advanced features of VMware HA cluster
- Perform backups and restoration of virtual machines using VMware Consolidated Backup
Operational Maintenance
- Configure and apply updates using VMware Update Manager
Modify Logging Behaviour
- Configure VirtualCenter and ESX Server logging
- Consolidate and rotate log files
Service Console Security
- Configure SSH and TCP wrappers
Rapid Deployment of ESX Servers
- Perform automated installation of ESX Servers for mass deployments
