This half day session provides an introduction to Microsoft Fabric Data Agents — a tool that enables conversational Q&A with business data using plain English. It covers what Data Agents are, when to use them over traditional reporting tools, and the data foundations required for consistent, reliable results.

You will be introduced to the key considerations for successful implementation:

• Understand what a Fabric Data Agent is and how it enables direct, conversational access to business data

• Identify the scenarios where Data Agents deliver more value than a Power BI report

• Recognise the data infrastructure and Semantic Model requirements that underpin reliable outputs

• Understand the role of prompt engineering and agent scope in producing consistent responses

• Explore practical use cases including infrastructure queries and fast-turnaround data summaries
