Overview
Learn how to solve complex data transformation challenges with SQL
This Advanced SQL for Data Analytics training focuses on complex data transformation challenges. This course follows on from the SQL For Data Analysts - Basic and SQL for Data Analytics - Intermediate training courses where you got to grips with using the SQL language to cleanse, wrangle and transform data ready for analysing.
Sometimes the volume of data and the complex relationships between different sets of records require more than a simple SELECT statement and straight forward functions, so in this course we focus on working with datasets and looking at SQL techniques for reducing record set sizes as early as possible.
We look at a modular approach to SQL coding, breaking challenges down into manageable chunks with objects such as using views, stored procedures, temporary tables and common table expressions (CTEs). We also look at how we can manage data access security.
