Bespoke training tailored to your needs

No two businesses are alike, so it stands to reason that a single fixed training course won't work for every one. We recognise this so - as well as our standard scheduled courses - we design, build and deliver tailored training specific to individual business needs.

We get to know you, talk to you and your colleagues about your business, the technologies you're interested in, and your training needs and objectives. We work with you to identify the key areas of interest and pre-requisite areas that might also be required to meet those objectives. You have ample time to talk to our instructors and consultants, who then recommend a proposed training plan. We'll then work with you to tweak and fine-tune the content so it genuinely works for you and meets your needs.

We can deliver training on your premises or at our own. We can even provide training-ready laptops to maximise our time together.

We can do this because we are a vendor-independent, family business, not tied into any specific courseware or certification tracks. Being smaller means we can be flexible and responsive. Here are some examples of tailored solutions we've provided for clients in the past:

Excel Training: Our client asked that we assessed the Excel training needs of their team according to a target level of skills that the client defined. We generated some tailor-made questionnaires based around the client’s objectives for all of their team to reach a common standard. Using the questionnaire responses we were able to identify current standards and training needs. We then planned several sessions of Excel training from introductory to advanced level and mapped the delegates to the sessions they required.

SQL Server Performance & Tuning: Our client wished to develop their skills to monitor, troubleshoot and tune their SQL Server implementation. They wished to focus on only the features and services that their environment deployed and also wanted a workshop at the end of the training looking at their own SQL Server system and using the skills they had learnt to tune some slow running parts of their application. We discussed with the client the services and features that were in use and planned a tailored course content around this. This involved stripping some content out that did not relate to the client’s SQL Server deployment, and adding some new content in to address some of the more specialist areas of optimisation that were relevant to their environment. All of our instructors have real world experience and so it was easy to add a workshop to the end of the course where known performance problems could be discussed and skills covered during the course could be put into use with the guidance of the instructor.

SQL Server Database Querying: Our client had a limited time window available for training as their staff were about to start on a new project that required SQL Server database querying skills urgently. We worked with the client looking at the applications they were going to be working with to assess what SQL Server database querying skills they would need. We then put together a proposed content that took selected parts of three different SQL Server training courses and compiled a three-day condensed course for them. The course labs were rewritten around the client’s own database so that the attending delegates could hit the floor running on their new project.
